Thursday 16th November, Red Lion, Isleworth. HLCC End of Season Awards and Drinks. Special guest; Brett Wilson, last seen 13 seasons ago just before he headed back home to Brisbane, Queensland, having attained legendary status in the 3 years and 32 games he played for Hounslow Leisure. Very impressive stats; 38 wickets at 10.7, an economy of 3.3, 1104 runs at 58.1, including 10 50's and a top score of 92. And in attendance, most of the team that would have played many of those 32 games with Brett...Phil, Mike, Don, Jim, Adam, Chris, Knobby, Robert, Rick, Paul.... (plus a few of the more recent chaps; Waseem, John, Wendel, SteveP...). Great to see you Brett, and look forward to seeng you again one day when HL get to tour Australia. Back to 2017, and Wendel picked up Player of the Season award for his 289 runs, 10 wickets and 9 catches. John and Ian also shared top wickets with 10. The first time Wendel and Brett have been seen together in the same room. Just imagine if we had had both of them playing on the same team? (Wendel joining Leisure the season after Brett left).
